At the Centre for Aesthetic & Reconstructive Surgery, we understand that paying for a plastic surgery procedure out of pocket is not the best option for every patient. This is why we work with several healthcare financing companies to provide funds for our patients.
If you are considering a plastic surgery procedure in or around Greenwich, Rhode Island, please call our office at 401-336-3770 to schedule your consultation with our board-certified plastic surgeon.
Here at the MedSpa of Rhode Island we offer both Fractional Non-Ablative and Ablative treatments.
Non-Ablative Fractional Laser Resurfacing safely delivers heat into the skin. The laser itself does this by creating thousands of invisible tiny columns into the skin. These columns work beyond the surface of the skin. They are delivered deeper where they can gradually stimulate collagen. On average, most patients need 4 treatments and will see full improvement at 6-8 months. Fine lines and wrinkles will begin to lessen and appear softer. Pore size and acne scarring are also improved. This treatment is not instant gratification but long term it is a very safe and effective way to improve the appearance of your skin.
Non-Ablative treatments require no actual downtime. Most patients look and feel sunburned for a few days after the treatment. Mineral make-up, such as Colorescience, can be applied.
Call our office for a complimentary consultation with Anne, our medical aesthetician to discuss if this treatment is right for you!
As many of our patients already know, we offer cosmetic surgery procedures, injectable treatments, laser skin resurfacing, medical facials and a wide range of skin care products. We offer such a wide variety of treatments/procedures at our office because many times “Combination Therapy” will help you to achieve the best results of what you’re looking for.
Facial cosmetic surgery can be enhanced with facial fillers and injectables. Facial laser treatments are always more effective when combined with top-grade at-home skin care products.
The foundation of everything we do here at the MedSpa of Rhode Island beings with the quality of your skin.
Many patients do not realize what an amazing difference quality skin care products make until they have been using them for 3-6 months. The next thing they know they are looking at a picture of themselves and become pleasantly surprised!
Our products are not just “feel good/smell good” that sit on the surface of the skin, rather, they are hand-picked because they deliver results. They nourish your skin cells and gradually make positive changes.
Dr. Doyle and Anne, our aesthetician, can customize a surgical or non-surgical treatment plan for your specific needs.
Please feel free to call the office at 401.336.3770 and set up your consultations!!
Whether your skin is dry, dehydrated or both the right skin care products can make a huge difference as can proper nutrition.
Proper cleansing and exfoliation is the foundation to a good skin care regimen. Depending on your skin type will determine the exact products suggested.
After cleansing the skin you will want to remove dead skin cells. Removing this buildup helps your skin to breathe. It also allows all other products to penetrate deeper. How often you exfoliate and with what you exfoliate with depends on your skin type.
Medical grade facials are extremely beneficial as they help to deep clean, exfoliate, hydrate and address specific concerns.
Our Age Resurfacing Facial and Hydrafacial are great for all skin types and they both hydrate and exfoliate the skin. Consistency with in-office treatment and at home skin care will give you a solid foundation. This will help you achieve or maintain a balanced, even-toned, glowing skin.
It’s that time of year again…..
The air is cold and dry and for many people that causes dry, tight, flaky skin. It is important to tackle this issue externally as well as internally.
Staying hydrated on the inside is essential. Drinking homemade bone broth is both tasty and nourishing. This beverage is loaded with minerals, protein, and gelatin. Gelatin helps to calm inflammation internally. Keeping inflammation at a minimum benefits every cell in your body. Glowing, hydrated skin is just one of the many benefits to drinking this super food regularly. Another simple way to stay hydrated is to drink warm water with lemon. This beverage also has a very long list of benefits including helping to flush out toxins, improve digestion and it is a great source of Vitamin C.
Be sure to incorporate plenty of “good fats” into your diet, such as avocado, walnuts, and wild salmon. You can also drizzle olive oil on your food. Yummm!!!
These delicious foods will help support your entire system as well as keep your skin hydrated.
One last tip: sleep with a humidifier in your room as needed!
Stay tuned for Part II!

Winter is the perfect time of year to have Intense Pulse Light treatments (IPL). This treatment dramatically improves broken blood vessels, rosacea, and sun damage/hyper-pigmentation caused by the sun’s damaging rays.
The IPL is not a laser, it is actually a light based treatment that can be safely used on skin types without a tan.
The face, chest, arms, and hands are very common areas with sun damage that would respond well to IPL treatments. Most patients need 2-4 sessions scheduled at four-week intervals for best results.
You can expect to feel a very mild sunburn-like sensation for 24 hours or less. Sun spots typically look darker for about 1 week then flake off on their own. The final result is a more even skin tone. Most patients feel they need much less cover up/foundation after having this treatment.

The Lux1064 sends energy into the blood and vessel walls where it is absorbed by hemoglobin. The hemoglobin is heated by the absorption of this energy causing the vessel to coagulate and close off. The constricted vessel then degenerates causing it to disappear from the surface of the skin.

We would like to take a moment to introduce to you our new Growth Factor!!
It’s a fact. Your skin thins with age and sun damage. This makes it more prone to fine lines and wrinkles. Also, when you undergo certain dermatologic procedures such as chemical peels, laser therapy or microdermabrasion, your skin undergoes more damage as part of the process.
Hundreds of millions of years ago, during a period when our planet was bombarded by extreme radiation, a little snail evolved a method to protect itself, a secretion of growth factors and glycoproteins that covered its skin. This special fluid was absorbed and healed the damage from the sun’s rays, almost instantaneously!
After years of research, European scientists have discovered a unique way to harness this growth factor to help damaged human skin: Tensage® SCA Technology (which stands for Secretion of Cryptomphalus Aspersa, a type of snail).
Tensage SCA Technology is available in a variety of strengths. Each of the Tensage® products has a Biorepair Index Number, which indicates the strength and percentage of SCA in the product. Your skin care specialist will help you determine which products are appropriate for the level of repair and rejuvenation you desire.
Benefits of Tensage:
firmer looking skin with renewed rejuvenation
smoothes the appearance of fine lines
softens the appearance of coarse wrinkles
helps skin damaged by photoaging
faster recovery of skin appearance following dermal procedures
