How Does the PRX-T33 Biorevitalization Compare to Other Chemical Peels

PRX T33 Biorevitalization You’ve likely heard of a chemical peel before, but have you ever heard of the PRX-T33 biorevitalization peel? While a traditional chemical peel can provide stunning results, it also causes the skin to peel, which can be uncomfortable for some patients. A PRX-33 is a different type of chemical peel that does not cause the skin to peel but still provides you with beautiful results.

Learn more about the PRX-T33 biorevitalization peel and how it compares to other types of chemical peels.

How Does a PRX-T33 Peel Work?

A PRX-T33 is a biorevitalization peel primarily comprised of trichloroacetic acid (TCA), koji acid, and hydrogen peroxide to rejuvenate the skin without damaging its surface. The hydrogen peroxide prevents the TCA from causing the skin to peel. Instead, it works on the deeper layers of skin, promoting elastin and collagen production and new skin cells. Plus, there’s no recovery or downtime necessary.

These peels were originally developed for children to reduce acne but have now been deemed effective for treating fine lines and wrinkles, stretch marks, sagging skin, dull complexion, and enlarged pores.

How Does a PRX-T33 Peel Compare to Traditional Chemical Peels?

Chemical peels have three different levels: superficial, medium, and deep. The general composition of these peels is different from the PRX-T33. They contain varying levels of TCA as well, but they also contain different types of acids, such as glycolic, salicylic, and retinoic acid. The difference in their formula allows the PRX-T33 to prevent peeling (exfoliation) while still delivering results.

Is the PRX-T33 Peel Less Effective Than a Traditional Chemical Peel?

The PRX-T33 is just as effective as other chemical peels. However, efficacy also depends on what skin concern you are looking to address. While each type of chemical peel is effective, they are formulated differently to treat specific concerns.
