How Does HydraFacial MD® Work?

Face Skin Care. Close-up Of Woman Getting Facial Hydro Microdermabrasion Peeling Treatment At Cosmetic Beauty Spa Clinic. Hydra Vacuum Cleaner. Exfoliation, Rejuvenation And Hydratation. Cosmetology.

HydraFacial MD is a non-surgical, non-invasive skin rejuvenation treatment that cleans, exfoliates, and hydrates skin to address several common concerns. Effective at treating fine lines and deep wrinkles, HydraFacial also treats acne, dry skin, textural irregularities, and skin laxity, helping to produce smooth, glowing, and blemish-free skin without risks or downtime.

HydraFacial utilizes proprietary technology to both remove impurities and deliver skin-nourishing serums. Treatment includes:

  • Exfoliation to remove dead skin cells and debris from the skin. Exfoliation also helps to open pores for easier cleaning and enhanced hydration
  • Acid peel to deeply hydrate the skin while loosening oil and debris from inside the pores
  • Vacuum extraction to fully clean pores and prepare the skin for deep moisturizing
  • Antioxidant serum infusion to heal, protect, and improve the appearance of the skin

The final step in your HydraFacial treatment is at-home care using products with the same active ingredients used for your in-office treatment. This last step extends and enhances results and reduces how often you need to return to our office for touch-up treatments.

Results from HydraFacial last for four to six weeks. At-home care can help to extend results, but follow-up treatments will be required for maintenance. During your initial consultation at our East Greenwich office, we can help you determine how often you will need to return to retain peak results.

Can HydraFacial be Combined With Other Treatments?

Non-surgical skin rejuvenation treatments like HydraFacial can be combined with other non-surgical treatments for enhanced results. At the Centre for Aesthetic + Reconstructive Surgery, we offer a wide range of non-surgical, non-invasive treatments that can be used alone or in specific combinations to address nearly any concern. Because HydraFacial is so gentle, it can serve as a complementary treatment to many other services, including dermaplaning and microneedling. The best way to learn if it can be used to enhance your appearance is through a one-on-one consultation.

Please call 401-336-3770 to schedule a consultation at the Centre for Aesthetic + Reconstructive Surgery today. Located in East Greenwich, we welcome patients from all nearby areas of Rhode Island.

Am I a Good HydraFacial Candidate?

If you are interested in a non-surgical solution for your skin concerns, you may be a good candidate for HydraFacial. The procedure is entirely customizable, making it a good fit for many cosmetic concerns.

Some skin problems may impact your candidacy for HydraFacial. If you have an active rash or severe acne, you may need to delay treatment. During your initial consultation, we will carefully assess your skin, discuss all of your treatment options, and help you decide if HydraFacial is the best fit for you.

Many people notice results after just one treatment, but maintenance will be required to maintain smooth, even, and blemish-free skin. While daily at-home care will prove useful in helping to maintain results, coming in for treatment every four to six weeks will also be necessary to ensure the most pleasing and long-lasting outcomes.

Non-Surgical Options

HydraFacial is an effective and non-invasive treatment for many skin concerns. It is not the right solution for every need. The best way to learn if it is the right non-surgical solution for you is through a one-on-one consultation at our East Greenwich office.

We offer a range of non-invasive med spa services, including dermal fillers, laser skin resurfacing, microneedling, and peels. These can be used in combination with HydraFacial in some cases and used as an alternative in others. During your initial consultation, we can help you determine which of these options will best help you in reaching your goals.

Millions of Americans are thinking over their resolutions and goals for the New Year. While many will vow to floss more often, lose weight, or focus on their career, others will look to cosmetic improvements to rejuvenate their appearance. The Centre for Aesthetic + Reconstructive Surgery offers the HydraFacial MD, which is a new skin treatment designed to maximize your youthful results.

Winter can be rough on your skin, causing dryness, redness, and itchiness. The holiday season is typically when men and women drink more alcoholic beverages than usual, which impacts your skin’s appearance. The filling foods served at Christmas time can influence your skin as well. Smoking and a lot of time in the sun can take a significant toll on your complexion too. These factors and more make winter an excellent time to restore a luminous, youthful appearance. The HydraFacial MD at our Medical Spa in East Greenwich is particularly beneficial because it exfoliates, nourishes, and restores moisture to the skin.

What is the HydraFacial?

HydraFacial MD is a non-invasive treatment for skin rejuvenation, which was named “Best In-Office Facial Treatment” by New Beauty in 2015. It has been featured in national media outlets, including ABC and InStyle, and has even been seen on The Real Housewives. HydraFacial is a five-step treatment that does not require any downtime or surgery. The treatment can address a variety of skin concerns, including lines and wrinkles, hyperpigmentation, and oily, acne-prone skin.

By combining various skin treatments, HydraFacial can provide significant improvement and natural-looking results after just one session without surgery or recovery time. Your HydraFacial with our medical aesthetician in Rhode Island will involve these phases:

  1. Dead skin cells and the dull outer layer of skin is removed with Vortex-Exfoliation™.
  2. The Vortex-Peel™ treats the newly-revealed healthy layer of skin to provide a radiant glow without the downtime needed after a typical chemical peel.
  3. Pores are cleansed, and clogged pores are addressed with Vortex-Extraction™.
  4. The fresh and clean facial skin is nourished with Vortex-Fusion™ and protects your skin from the elements.
  5. Skin rejuvenation is continued at home with a skincare regimen designed to complement the HydraFacial.

You can view before and after photos on our HydraFacial page to see how this skin treatment can reveal a “New You” in the New Year. HydraFacial is an excellent option for patients who want to look young for their age and treat common skin concerns without the need for surgery. Adults who struggle with poor skin texture, laxity, and moderate-to-severe facial lines and wrinkles can benefit from HydraFacial at our East Greenwich location with long-lasting skin improvement after one session.

Many new and exciting things are happening at our office this Fall!

Call the office to find out more and schedule and appointment with our aesthetician Anne!

I get numerous phone calls a day asking what services our aesthetician offers and I list off all the different services she provides. After going through the list of services I always explain how the Hydrafacial is our most popular facial. The prospective client on the other end of the phone asks the same question every client asks… “What is so special about the Hydrafacial; why is it your most popular facial?”

The Hydrafacial is our most popular facial because you see and feel an instant difference! Yes, INSTANT. “How?” you ask? It is because the Hydrafacial combines 3 treatments into 1! It is a microdermabrasion, facial, and chemical peel all in one! Anne will do mild extractions as needed and finish the Hydrafacial with a combination of antioxidants, peptides, and a hyaluronic acid (all things needed for great, healthy skin!).

You can get this fabulous treatment once a week if you really wanted to but most of our clients come once every 4-6 weeks for healthy skin maintenance.

Great for all skin types, the HydraFacial MD® Treatment is not only highly effective at improving overall skin health, but also excellent for remedying:

  • Fine Lines and Wrinkles
  • Elasticity & Firmness
  • Skin Tone Evenness & Vibrancy
  • Skin Texture
  • Hyperpigmentation/Photo Damage
  • Oily/Congested Skin
  • Enlarged Pores
  • Advanced Signs of Aging

To restore radiance, this superb treatment infuses Vitamin C to improve signs of sun damage. Skin will appear brighter, firmer, and more radiant.

Cosmetic surgery: When is the right time?

When considering a cosmetic procedure, whether it is Botox injections or a breast augmentation, you may ask yourself, “Is this the best time to have it done?”  Deciding to have plastic surgery is a personal decision, of course, and timing depends at lot upon your goals and desired outcome.  Below are a few guidelines to keep in mind.

Plan Ahead

If you want to be ready for a special occasion, definitely plan ahead.  Many non-surgical procedures such as Botox®, Dysport®, and dermal fillers (Juvederm®, Restylane®, Perlane®, Sculptra®) have immediate results and require little to no downtime.  You may want to look your best for a wedding, family party, or class reunion, but you should give yourself about 2 weeks for any minimal bruising to resolve.

Most surgical procedures, such as a tummy tuck, liposuction, and breast augmentation, do require several weeks to fully recover.  So if you want to look your best in your bathing suit or for that special event, you should plan to give yourself time for the swelling to resolve and for your incisions to heal.

General Guidelines for Popular Procedures

Tummy Tuck (Abdominoplasty):  Maybe your abdomen protrudes after having children, or you have excess skin or bulging at your waistline you can pinch.  You exercise and watch your diet, but your shape is just not what you want it to be.   A tummy tuck may be helpful by removing excessive skin and fat, repairing the abdominal muscles separated by pregnancy, and even improving a C-section scar.  In most circumstances it is best to wait until after you lose excess weight and have finished having children.  Give yourself about 12 weeks to heal before your bathing suit debut or your special event.

Breast Augmentation:  Generally speaking, there are two time periods when a woman seeks breast enhancement surgery.  A young woman in her twenties may recognize that she has finished developing breast tissue and she desires larger breasts.  A breast augmentation with saline or silicone gel implants would provide the best option to help her achieve fuller breasts.  An older woman, later in her thirties, forties, or fifties, may have lost volume after having children, or may notice sagging of her breasts.  A breast lift, or mastopexy, can remove excess sagging skin and can reposition the nipple on the breast.  Depending on your needs, Dr. Doyle will recommend one procedure or a combination of a breast augmentation and breast lift to help you achieve your goals for breast enhancement.  Recovery from breast augmentation is usually quick, but do give yourself a few months before a major event to look your best.

Liposuction:  Liposuction can be used to treat stubborn fat pockets in many parts of the body including the abdomen, thighs, hips, buttocks, neck, back, and chest.  Liposuction is not a treatment for obesity and is not an effective treatment for cellulite, the dimpled skin that sometimes appears on the thighs, hips, and buttocks.  Removing excess fat deposits improves your body contour and proportion, and ultimately can enhance your self-image.  Winter is a great time to do liposuction since post-operative support garments can be easily hidden under clothing.

-Facial Rejuvenation:  Improve your appearance anytime with a Hydrafacial, revitalizing peel, or anti-aging facial offered by our aesthetician.  All skin care procedures offer the most advanced medical grade products and are supervised by Dr. Doyle.  Get your skin glowing right before your special event.  More advanced facial rejuvenation, such as an eyelid lift, facelift, and neck lift can take between two to six months for the swelling to be completely gone.
